Coach Nico Labohm with Betway Talent Search 2017 winner and runner up
Nico Labohm, UEFA License “A” Coach arrived in Ghana last week to attend this year’s edition of the Betway Thought Leadership Seminar.
The Technical Advisor for the National Football Federation of Curacao will be in Ghana for a period of 6 weeks under the auspices of Betway Ghana to spend some time with clubs being sponsored by the leading Sports Betting firm.
Nico Labohm is scheduled to visit Aduana Stars Football Club, Medeama Football Club and Liberty Professionals Football Club in the coming weeks after spending some time with AshGold Sporting Club.
Coach Labohm is currently in Obuasi to support C.K Akunnor and his team at Ashgold with emerging trends and best practices from other football markets. He also met with the Betway Talent Search finalists currently undergoing trials at Ashgold Sporting Club to offer them words of encouragement and advise. The Coach will be at the Len Clay Stadium to witness Ashgold’s first game of the season against Wa All Stars.
Coach Labohm will be visiting the current league winners Aduana Stars at Dormaa Ahenkro next to offer the same support.
“He is expected to organize a workshop for the coaches and backroom staff to share ideas which is in conjunction with Betway Ghana’s continuous effort to help develop sports in the country”. Magnus Rex Danquah Jr., Country Manager (Operations) at Betway Ghana commented when contacted on the coach’s arrival in Obuasi.
Coach C.K Akunnor, Head Coach of AshGold expressed his gratitude to Betway for their support so far. He further welcomed Nico Labohm to Obuasi and thanked him for the ideas and suggestions offered.
