Minister-designate for the North-East region, Solomon Namliit Boar says he'd rather be seen as an "errand boy" than a "boss" when given the nod as substantive minister for the newly created region.
He assured the committee during his vetting Thursday of his commitment to work and serve the needs of residents within the new area to boost development and create opportunities for progression.
Though relatively new with challenges in the road sector, education and the health sector, Mr. Boar was confident that with his expertise and passion, the region will massively experience growth.
He however was emphatic about collaboration from the grassroots levels and with relevant stakeholders to ensure the requisite things are done.
Hon. Boar further noted how residents welcomed the creation of the new region with excitement and enthusiasm.
"People danced for more than three days when the North East region was created", he said.
With the requisite collaboration he said, the region will see immense growth.
"We need to combine forces for the betterment and development of North East region".
Solomon Namliit Boar was nominated together with 5 others to head the six newly created regions.
If approved, he will be Minster of the North East region.
