Ghana defender Kasim Adam suffered a slight injury on Tuesday during a friendly match for Fortuna DUsseldorf ahead of their clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Fortuna Düsseldorf recorded a 6-0 win over TSV Meerbusch and the TSG Hoffenheim loanee was forced out of the game after he felt a slight pain in his tight.
The Ghanaian showed a lot of promise in the game in what looked like readiness for the game over the weekend until the unfortunate incident.
“Sobottka pulled a torn ligament in the left adductor area, Adams fell out of the game with the same injury on the left thigh,” a club statement read.
“Both players (Kasim and Sabottka) will be out of action until further notice.
“Fortuna wishes you a speedy recovery,” the statement concluded.
Kasim joined The Flingeraners on a season long loan from TSG Hoffenheim and is yet to play a game for the side since the start of the Bundesliga season.
