Key Members of the National Democratic Congress are set to address issues of concern regarding the state of Ghana’s economy at a lecture today.
This comes just a day after members of Government’s Economic Management Team, Headed by Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia addressed key stakeholder and members of the public on the state of the economy and the way forward during a Town Hall meeting.
The lecture being organized by Pressure Group, Coalition for Restoration (CFR) is themed: “Ghana’s rising fiscal risks, financial crunch and external vulnerabilities: A postmortem of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) Programme and a preview of the economy without the International Monetary Fund (IMF)”.
The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, Former President John Dramani Mahama and Former Attorney General, Betty Mould Idrissu are billed to speak at the program.
Already though, General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, in a statement Wednesday noted that the party will take advantage of the platform to address and or rather counter some ‘distortions’ in the speech rendered by the Vice President during the townhall meeting Thursday.
