There was a moment of confusion at the NPP’s Constituency office at Dome-Kwabenya which is serving as a polling centre in its ongoing parliamentary primaries.
As witnessed by GhanaWeb reporters, the confusion came about when a gentleman casting his ballot was alleged to have taken a shot of the ballot with his phone.
The gentleman who is alleged to be rooting for the incumbent Member of Parliament, Sarah Adwoa Safo was confronted by another delegate who is also said to be a supporter of Dr. Mike Oquaye Junior.
The situation was immediately brought under control by security officers at the polling station as the confrontation between the two delegates was getting heated.
The New Patriotic Party is today, June 20, 2020 holding parliamentary primaries in some 101 constituencies across the country. Polls opened at 7:00 am and is expected to close at 1:00 pm.
The Dome-Kwabenya contest is tipped to be one of the fiercely contested constituencies, as Dr Oquaye has vowed to ensure he clinches the seat which he lost to Adwoa Safo some years ago in a similar competition.
