Al Qadsia defender Rashid Sumaila is eyeing a return to the Black Stars after a good start in the Kuwaiti League.
The former Asante Kotoko defender who returned to Al Qadsia after a season loan at Red Star Belgrade has established himself as one of the best players in the Kuwaiti League.
His presence at the back has aided his side to go eight games unbeaten in the Kuwaiti League.
The former Ebusua Dwarfs defender played full-time of the game as Al Qadsia defeated Al Yarmouk by 6-1 in Federation Cup on Friday.
Speaking to footballmadeinghana.com after the game, Sumaila expressed his satisfaction with his current form and also declared his readiness to return to the Black Stars squad.
“I’m feeling good. Everything is going well here. I’m delighted with how things are going for me”
” I’m working hard to return to the national team. I know the competition there isn’t easy. But I think I’m in the best of shape currently.
“It’s the decision of the coach so I don’t want to say anything about it. I want to come back to the national team as we work hard to bring back the love”He added
