Dentaa Amoateng, the manager of Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan, has announced her intentions of becoming the President of the Ghana Football Association by 2020, which is in the next five years.

Since the establishment of the Ghana FA in 1957, no woman has ever managed to land the top post at the nation’s football governing body, which has been occupied by Kwesi Nyantakyi since 2005.

Though Nyantakyi is highly tipped to win the 2015 FA Election and manage the GFA for another four years, the 32-year-old UK based entrepreneur, Dentaa believes she will be the association’s 24th President after the reign of the CAF Executive Committee member.

“In five years time, I hope to be the GFA President and hopefully you are going to be interviewing me again here to say Dentaa how did you do it?” Dentaa told the BBC.

Dentaa, who was the Head of Marketing for Ghana’s Brazil 2014 campaign, must either make preparations to own a Ghanaian football club or become affiliated to any team registered under the GFA to become eligible to contest for the position of Ghana FA President.
