Ex-Sports Minister, Honourable Nii Lante Vanderpuye, has revealed why sponsors aren’t involved in our local football in recent times as there are no pragmatic programmes which could lure them in contributing to our game.

The plight of Ghana’s football is certainly a worrying phenomenon which has dwindled the fortunes of the game as sponsors are showing their disinterest in partnering Ghana’s football considering the popularity of the game.

Speaking on the Football Legends Night Show on GHOne TV last Friday, Honourable Vanderpuye revealed why the local game is unattractive to sponsors.

He said: “The sponsors are not coming because they don’t see any pragmatic programmes out there, in order to induce them to come.

Sponsorship goes with marketing, so if you don’t have a product that can market the sponsor, how do they come on board,” Vanderpuye said on the Football Legends Night Show on GHONE TV.
