MTN presented a cheque of thousands of cedis and hamper toward the annual festive activities
The chiefs, elders and people of the Mamfe Traditional Area in the Eastern Region are set for their annual Ohum festival as well as 20th Anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Mamfehene, Osaberima Ansah Sasraku III, and a big grand durbar has been planned for Saturday, December 16, 2017.
As part of its activities for the week-long festival and 20th anniversary of the Mamfehene, leading telecommunication company MTN has already presented GHS 10,000 and a drink hamper to the people of Mamfe. The items were received by Mamfehene, Nana Ansah Sasraku III.
Presenting the cheque and hamper to Osaberima Ansah Sasraku III who double as the Kyidomhene of Akuapem Traditional Area, Mr. David Woasey, Sales and Distribution Manager for South East Business District said MTN would carry out data activation throughout the festive period at the various vantage points in the town to give MTN valued customers an experiential feel of the benefits of their products and services.
He however cautioned the people of Mamfe and Akuapem as well as those who will be partaken in the festival and the anniversary celebration of the chief to careful of some social deviants and criminals who have taken to deceiving Ghanaians to defraud them of their money using the Mobile Money service.
“MTN will like to caution all to stay alert and not to share your mobile money information more importantly your mobile money pin code”. Mr. Woasey said.
MTN telecommunication which has been supporting the Chiefs and people of Mamfe Akuapem Traditional Area for the past 10 years used the occasion to affirm the company’s relationship with the Chiefs and people of the area.
