An inspired performance by talisman Patrick Razak handed Hearts of Oak all the bragging rights as they edged Asante Kotoko by a goal to nil in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors came into the game on the back of their victory against Wa All Stars last weekend.
While bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak traveled to Kumasi seeking an end to their three-match winless streak.
A cagey first half ended goalless with both teams lacking cutting edge in the final third.
Kotoko started the second half brightest but it was the Phobians who opened the scoring courtesy of a sensational strike by Patrick Razak in the 64th minute.
The Rainbow boys showed once again that form guide means nothing when it comes to the ‘Super Clash’ as they continued to hurt Kotoko especially on the wings.
There was not to be any more goals in the match however, as Hearts held on to their one goal advantage to get back to winning ways.
