Kumasi Asante Kotoko keeper, Felix Annan dedicated their win over Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League to Asantehene.
The Kumasi based club were struggling to pick wins in the Ghanaian topflight, but recorded a win over Bechem United through Emmanuel Gyamfi’s second half strike and Felix Annan has revealed that Otumfuor Osei Tutu II birthday ignited them to grab all the three maximum points on Sunday.
” We told ourselves that we have to make Asanteman proud even though things aren’t going on all well,” Annan stated after the game.
“We wanted to make Otumfuor proud knowing that the matchday was his birthday and we did it. So we dedicate this win to his royal highness, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II “
The win was Kotoko’s first in three games after losing to eternal rivals Accra Hearts of Oak as well as Premier League debutants Karela FC.
