The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has revealed that the Special Prosecutor, Martin A. B. K. Amidu, will soon burst into action by prosecuting public officials accused of corruption and misbehavior.
“I suspect that very soon people will begin to hear about the workings of our dear Martin Amidu [Special Prosecutor], his deputy and operators at the Office”, he hinted.
Addressing party faithful at the 26th Annual Delegates Conference in Koforidua, Saturday, July 7, 2018, the Suame Constituency legislator who is also the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs noted that the Special Prosecutor and his team are seriously working on a number of cases that would soon be sent to court for prosecution.
Commenting further, Mr. Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu urged his fellow party members who have assumed positions in government to do their best to meet the aspirations of the people, noting that failure to do so will result in the people losing trust in the government.
He urged delegates to vote for candidates who have rendered good service and also promoted and defended the good name of the party.
The Suame lawmaker further urged the delegates to vote for candidates who have best protected and would protect the unity of the party at all levels and who have also been loyal and truthful to the party as well as those who have best abided by and publicly upheld the decision of the party among other duties of a diligent member of the NPP.
“You should remember that we are not representing ourselves here. We have come as delegates clothed with the authority of our constituency party to do the bidding on those who we are here. Let us not disappoint those who have sent us here”, he advised.
