Amankwa Mireku says the amazing support Hearts of Oak players receive whenever they play against Kotoko at the Babayara sports stadium is the secret behind their dominance over the Porcupine Warriors.
The Phobians face Kotoko on Sunday at the Babayara in a highly publicized friendly encounter.
Mireku was speaking to Metro FM in Kumasi on Saturday and said : ” The support we get from the Hearts of Oak fans in Kumasi is always enough for us to beat them in their own city.”
“Anytime we play against Kotoko as soon as we enter Kumasi our motivation and enthusiasm changes right inside the bus and I think this is what gives Hearts of Oak the edge in Kumasi.” he continued.
Hearts of Oak used the Cape coast stadium as the venue for their home matches this season but according to Mireku the team should consider Kumasi rather.
“I have always told them to pitch camp in Kumasi for just one season and they will see how the team will perform. The team always play very well in Kumasi and so whey don’t you use it as your home venue for once.” he quizzed.
