Former President John Dramani Mahama, has expressed confidence that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be victorious in the 2020 general elections.
Mr Mahama said he was convinced of a victory for the NDC based on the enthusiasm displayed on the occasion of the National Delegates Congress of the NDC in Gomoa Fetteh to elect leaders of the national women and youth wings of the party on Saturday, 27 October 2018.
“The atmosphere at the ongoing Youth & Women’s Conference at the Pentecost Convention Centre is a reflection of the renewed energy and commitment to our Victory 2020 Agenda. Wishing all the aspirants well,” Mr Mahama, who is contesting some 11 other aspirants for the flag bearer position of the party, said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile, former president Jerry John Rawlings has also urged delegates of the NDC to have in mind the values and principles of the party, as they elect leaders for the NDC’s youth and women’s wings.
