A High Court Judge who supports investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has received a 745 BMW as bribe according to maverick politician and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

The lawmaker who has refused to give further details about the vehicle and the recipient in an interview MyNewsGh.com monitored indicates that he has the chassis number and other specifications of the said vehicle and will release them at the appropriate time.

He explained that the said judge in concert with ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas helped in disgracing colleague judges who received goats, tubers of yams and other smaller gifts but were sent home after investigations by the Judicial Council.

“There is this judge who is supporting Anas for disgracing his colleagues for taking sheep. He has taken a bribe of 745 BMW 7 from an auctioneer. How much is the cost of the vehicle compared to the sheep and goats others took and have been sent home? The auctioneer called me today not to mention his name but I cannot promise him that”, he revealed.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong promised to avail the evidence to the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo wondering if the said judge will have the courage to use the vehicle after he making noise about it promising to go after him.

According to him, some of the judges who were on the side of Anas have started regretting their actions and wished they never did some of the things which led to the dismissal of their colleagues from active service.

“I have a judge who has openly told me his greatest mistake was to allow Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his colleagues to come and sit before him to find his colleagues guilty. He confessed to me he has been unable to sleep considering how the hooded men appeared before him and never allowed the accused judge to make his case. God will judge all of us on judgement day”, he observed.
