Kasapafmonline.com has gathered that the soldier in the viral video condemning Parliament’s proposed construction of the controversial new 450-seater complex has been invited by his Commander.
L/Cpl. Wassa according to earlier reports has been picked up and kept in a guardroom and is likely to spend about a month in the detention in accordance with military regulations.
The officer is heard in the video appealing to President Akufo-Addo not to support the plan.
He described calls for the construction of a new chamber as selfish on the part of Parliamentarians.
Sources say his comments amount to an offence described in the military as ‘disloyalty’.
Sources within the Military say L/Cpl. Wassa has been summoned by the Commander of the Recce Regiment to answer questions over the issue.
