Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku has insisted they have not reached their maximum limit after beating Rahimo FC in a pre-season encounter.
The Porcupines Warriors came back from a goal down to beat their Burkinabe counterpart by 2-1.
Speaking to the media after the game, the former Feyenoord Academy player expressed his delight for the hard-fought victory but insisted the team is not 100% ready for the season as they will need to get to their maximum level.
“We struggled in the first half, but in the second we showed a lot of determination. I think that is what helped us”
“Everybody is working hard, if you look at our fitness level you could see we are getting better, but we are not up to our limit yet”
“We are still working to get to that level. Its been two weeks since we started. We are trying to jell and get the cohesion with the new players”
Kotoko have been drawn with Nigerian professional league side Kano Pillars in the preliminary stages of the CAF Champions League.
