Suisi Okuenya Chief brings love to orphans at Nector Foundation

Chief of Suisi Okuenya and Adaduili Kworsi, Kodjonya in the Lower Manya Krobo area, His Royal Majesty, Nene Olepeme Sackinor Nanor I has donated assorted items to the Nector Foundation, an orphanage located at Nuaso in the Lower Manya Krobo Traditional Area of the eastern region.

The donation on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 was is in the light of the annual Ngmayem festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Manya Krobo where His Royal Majesty paid a visit to the Nector Foundation to spend the day and donate to the orphanage.

Items donated included two bags of maize, ten crates of minerals, four bags of rice, a galloon of cooking oil and a pack of tomatoes, according to the chief, were to assist the less privileged in society particularly during the Ngmayem festivities.

The chief who recounted other acts of philanthropy he's done called on other members of society to assist the less privileged in society.

During the chief’s visit to the orphanage, the children were encouraged to take their studies seriously.

The visit and presentation was one of several acts of philanthropy engaged in by His Royal Majesty, Nene Olepeme Sackinor Nanor I and it was done in fulfillment of his desire and quest to help improve the standard of living of the less privileged kids and youth.

Nene Olepeme Sackinor Nanor I said all fortunate persons in society owe the less privileged a duty to provide for them.

He further indicated that similar acts of philanthropy will be extended to similar persons in need.

The caretaker of the Nector Foundation, Frederica Akuffo who received the items with glee also expressed her profound gratitude for the kind gesture.

She extended her warm appreciations to Nene Sackinor for the gesture and called on other members of society to support the home.

The orphanage which was founded 12 years ago by the late Rev. Felix K.A. Anyasor is considered a timely intervention for tens of orphaned children in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal. It caters for 36 orphans from as little as two years to nineteen years including fourteen girls and twenty-two boys.
