Black Stars coach , Kwesi Appiah has revealed that Real Mallorca star, Iddrisu Baba who got injured on his debut during the game against South Africa on Thursday night will undergo further medical examination today to determine the level of his injury.
Speaking to the press after the game, Kwesi Appiah revealed that the 23-year-old who was stretchered off after a collision in stoppage time sustained an ankle problem in their 2-0 victory against Bafana Bafana.
“I think he had a head clash but before we came here [for the presser], he was okay. He joined us in prayers and everything. He also had an ankle problem so the doctors will work with him so hopefully, by tomorrow we should know [his status],” the coach revealed.
Yesterday victory puts Black Stars in second place in Group C with three points. Sudan are on top of the group due to their 4:0 victory against Sao Tome Principe in Khartoum on Wednesday.
Black Stars will next face Sao Tome and Principe on Monday, November 18.
