Leeds United set to tempt Swansea with lucrative offer for in-form Andre Ayew, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report. Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is determined to be reunited with Andre Ayew whom he worked with in Marseille.
Leeds are second on the Championship table but having come close to promotion last season, Bielsa knows he will need some reinforcement in January if they are to finally secure Premier League football this season.
Injuries have restricted Tyler Roberts impact this season and that has fuelled the interest in Ayew whose been a cut above his mates this season. The former Westham man has 7 goals and couple of assist this season.
Ayew also has a strong relationship with Bielsa which sterns from their time together at Marseille and it is thought that he will not require time to adapt if he decides to join Leeds. Swansea are not too keen in selling the only player whose kept them in with a chance to making the play off but could be forced to sell if a record bid comes in.
Sources close to Ayew say he is happy at Swansea having rediscovered his form and rhythm but will definitely want to return to the top tier of English football.
Cooper runs out of praise for Ayew: Swansea City boss Steve was full of praise for Ayew again after he produced another man-of-the-match performance to help his side to their first victory in 6 games.
He said: "We know Andre can play higher than this level. But I can only go off what I see and that's a player that's giving more than 100 per cent.
"If you think back to the performance against Blackburn he was sliding tackles in when in the defensive third and creating counter-attacks himself.”
So that tells me he's really happy. We've got a really good relationship.
"I like him a lot. I think he likes me a little bit as well, so that might help.
"For as long as he's here, playing the way he is, the better for the football club, but I cannot speak highly enough of him."
