An Asante Kotoko fan who suffered serious injuries after he was shot by a Police Office at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is 'out of danger,' says the club.
The fan was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Hospital after he was seen heavily oozing with blood following the violence that broke in Kotoko's 1-0 defeat to Brekum Chelsea on Sunday.
"Our fan, who allegedly shot with a rubber bullet by a Police officer at the Baba Yara Stadium yesterday, is still stable and responsible to treatment at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi," the club posted on Twitter.
"Our Medical Team has been on him since he was rushed to the facility yesterday evening, and they tell us this morning that the latter is currently out of danger."
The supporter wearing the jersey of the Premier League giants collapsed on the floor after being shot with blood oozing out from his stomach area.
