The current GFA General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo has cleared the air on the deficits on referees in the Ghana Premier League.
It was report earlier that referees in the Ghana Premier League were yet to receive salaries stemming from matchday 5-15, leading to a huge discontent among the officials.
In an interview with Joy FM, Harrison Addo categorically stated that payments from matchday 5-8 for referees will be made available to them next week.
"For payments from matchday 5 to matchday 8 in the Ghana Premier League for referees, the money will get to the referees next week."
He also gave his answer on why the full deficit have not been paid immediately.
"This is not about money. The GFA is undertaking a number of projects."
The Ghana Premier League has currently been suspended due to the coronavirus.
