Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu has assured Ghanaians that the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is on his feet, working assiduously with his appointees to bring a halt to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
According to him, the president, has, among other things, been in every inter-ministerial committee meeting, deliberating with stakeholders on the best ways to solve the pending situation and to rid the country of the deadly virus.
Speaking to the press during a briefing Wednesday, April 1, 2020, Mr. Agyemang-Manu said,
“The president is solidly behind us. He is in all inter-ministerial committee sittings, he is chairing the inter-ministerial committee that he has set up, the old man is not sleeping.”
Meanwhile, the president’s Physician, Dr Patrina Techi-Ankrah, has revealed that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his wife and presidential staff have all tested negative for Coronavirus.
According to her, a total number of 99 persons have been tested and the results have been negative.
Speaking at the press conference on Wednesday, Dr Techi-Ankrah said “a day before the president’s birthday, him, the first lady, his daughters and all the staff of his household we tested and I am happy to announce that all the tests came negative.”
