Half-Assini (W/R) Nov. 22. GNA- Christians have been advised to lead exemplary lives and play leading roles in the propagation of the gospel to win more souls for Christ.

Father Francis Appiah-Kubi of the Tarkwa diocese of the Catholic Church said Christians could do this by channelling their resources to support evangelism instead of spending lavishly on frivolous fashion.

He was preaching the sermon to as part of activities marking the 20th Anniversary of the Half-Assini Catholic Charismatic Renewal at Half-Assini on Friday. The topic was "Make us strong again and we shall praise you".

Father Appiah-Kubi said God has promised to richly bless those who honestly and generously fund or support in any way the spread of the gospel, and this should be an encouragement to those who believe in the teachings of Christ. Mr. Michael Herzuah, Jomoro district coordinator of the Catholic Charismatic group traced the history of the Charismatic Renewals since it was founded in the United States in 1967, and called on the people especially the youth to join it.

Nearly 12 million cedis was realised at an appeal for funds. 22 Nov 03
