Kwame A Prempeh is the National Organiser aspirant for the NPP
NPP National Organiser Aspirant, Ing Kwame A Prempeh has claimed the worsening economic conditions in the Ashanti Region under the NDC could influence political decisions ahead of the 2028 elections.
Speaking on Joy Prime as monitored by MyNewsGh, he stated that many residents in the region were struggling.
“People in Ashanti Region have been sleeping in dumsor for the past six months. They are not fools. Their kids cannot go to school. People are crying,” he said.
He also criticised the NDC government’s approach to development and public relations in the region.
“Everything the Ashanti Regional Minister is doing will not add anything to it. You go and paint this interchange. How many interchanges have NPP not painted?” he questioned.
Addressing allegations that public funds were used for the painting project, Ing Kwame A Prempeh denied the claims.
“We didn’t spend a dime. Let anybody from the NDC bring any document that proves some money was paid,” he stated.
He maintained that despite the political difficulties ahead, the NPP still had a realistic path to rebuilding support in the Ashanti Region.
