Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Subin Constituency, Eugene Boakye Antwi has said that government has spent over 800 million Ghana Cedis to settle debts accrued by the erstwhile Mahama administration.
According to him, there are still debts unsettled by other ministries and all these debts make Ghanaians feel government is not doing anything.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he explained that the amount of money government is paying in terms of settling debts could have been used for other developmental projects.
The NPP government is committed to providing Ghanaians with whatever they promised in their manifesto.
"Nana Addo will not disappoint Ghanaians just that we will have to settle debts that was accrued by the other government so that those affected can have money to execute other projects that will improve the lives of Ghanaians," he said.
