Richard Aseda, whose contentious details led to the disqualification of Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, was Tuesday dragged to the Electoral Commission’s office to testify.
Counsel for Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Ayikoi Otoo told journalists Aseda “owned up” to the Electoral Commission and was made to “Sign specimen signatures”.
The EC disqualified Dr. Nduom who is the presidential nominee of the Progressive People’s Party in October 10 because Aseda endorsed him twice at two different places in two different regions.
But when Richard Aseda met Commissioners of the EC today at the Chairperson’s chamber, he denied endorsing the forms in the Lower Hemang Denkyira.
“He doesn’t know any place called Lower Hemang Denkyira; he lives in Buem in the Jasikan district [in the Volta region]. He has got nothing to do with whatever happened in the Central region”, Ayikoi Otoo revealed to journalists.
He said Aseda’s name was subsequently removed from the forms and replaced with a different person.
