The Minister for Communication and Digitalization, who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has said that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a president who is loyal and truthful in honouring his promises.
The minister described Akufo-Addo as a “promise-keeper.’’
She said, “We will be commissioning the 40-bed hospital next month. The Agenda 111; our 100-bed municipal hospital is also ongoing. If you go to Ebenezer Senior High School, you will see that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo not just make a promise, but a promise keeper. He is actually doing it, “she stated this in a video shared on X by UTV Ghana.
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful made this statement while addressing some constituents in the Ablekuma West constituency on October 4, 2024.
According to the MP, Akufo-Addo is the only president in history who is constructing multiple hospital projects at the same time, adding that “ebi ensii da,” to wit, it has never happened before.
“He is the only president or Head of State we have had in this country who is building 111 hospitals at a go. Ebi ensii da. It is possible and we are doing it. For the naysayers, go to Ebeneezer Senior High School, you will see three contractors on site.
“Some of these Agenda 111 hospitals are going to be commissioned very soon. We have started our own. We want to see it completed so that our own Ablekuma West Korle-Bu will be here for us. We don’t need to go anywhere for medical services,“ she added.
She advised the constituents to vote for the New Patriotic Party to avoid abandonment of projects by a new political party.
“If we don’t break the 8, they will never continue with that hospital. So, if you want your hospital, vote number 1 to break the 8 for us to get the hospital. Some projects which President Kufuor started were left in the bush. It is Nana Akufo-Addo who came to complete it. We don’t want that to happen to our Agenda 111 hospital. So, we will vote wisely,’’ the MP stated.
