RPD declares support for Mahama's re-election

The founder and leader of the Reformed Patriotic Democrats (RPD), Mr. Kwabena Adjei, has given a boost to President John Dramani Mahama's campaign in the run up to the elections in December.

Mr. Adjei also known as Bambaata has announced his party's support for the campaign of the President.

He explained at a press conference in Kumasi yesterday that President Mahama shares the vision and ideals of the RPD hence the declaration to support his aspiration to maintain power in this year's elections.

He said the entire leadership and membership of RPD has since 2008 supported the NDC in elections and hoped another mandate for the President in the 2016 elections would enable him consolidate on the massive infrastructural development across the country.

The flagbearer of RPD in the 2012 elections said President Mahama with his vast experience in governance is best positioned to implement democratic policies and programmes to change lives and transform Ghana.

He called on other minor parties to rally behind the President at the polls by ensuring massive votes for the President to form the next government and build upon the already unprecedented achievements so far chalked under his leadership.
