President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has laughed off rumours that he was hospitalized at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for allegedly collapsing at the weekend.
Reports surfaced Sunday evening that the President, who is 74 years old, collapsed and was rushed to the Hospital to be prepared for medical evacuation outside the country.
But the President on Monday morning made what he termed a surprise appearance at the climax of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month in Accra.
“Some of you may be surprised to see me here this morning,” he said, making references to the rumours.
He denied being sick as circulated on social media, and explained his visit to the 37 Military Hospital which is few metres from the Jubilee House, had nothing to do with his health whatsoever.
The President said he went to the hospital to visit a relative who is undergoing a hip surgery.
Nana Akufo-Addo noted those whose fortunes depend on his sick health should be aware that “we are all in the hands of the Lord”.
