The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has released official guidelines and a timetable for its upcoming parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso East Constituency of the Greater Accra Region.
In a press release signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the National Secretariat outlined the nomination process, filing fees, concessions, and key dates, while calling on aspirants and stakeholders to uphold fairness, unity, and internal democracy.
Nomination Process
Nomination forms will be obtained from the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Office, where completed forms must also be submitted within the stipulated period.
Delegates List
Access to the official delegates' list will be granted to aspirants only after verification of payment of the approved filing fee into the party’s designated bank account.
Filing Fees and Concessions
The cost of the nomination form has been set at GH¢5,000, while the filing fee stands at GHS 40,000.
Female aspirants and Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWDs) are entitled to a 50 percent reduction in the filing fee.
All payments must be made directly into the NDC’s official account at UMB Bank, Adabraka Branch.
The party noted that cheques and bankers’ drafts will not be accepted.

Call for Decency and Unity
The NDC urged all aspirants to conduct their campaigns with decency, respect, and discipline, in line with the party’s values. The Secretariat also called for strict adherence to the timelines and procedures to ensure a transparent and peaceful primary.
Fifi Fiavi Kwetey reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fairness, inclusivity, and unity, noting that the Ayawaso East primary is expected to further strengthen the NDC’s democratic credentials as it prepares for the 2026 general elections.
