Acting CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Eric Adjei, has expressed solidarity with members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who have repeatedly voiced their frustrations over what they describe as neglect by the party in the ongoing security service recruitment exercise.

In an interview on Asempa FM shared on X on March 10, 2026, Adjei stated that party faithful have every right to complain about what they see as neglect by the party after it assumed office.

According to him, the foot soldiers played a significant role in helping the NDC return to power, and therefore deserve to benefit from their efforts.

He further noted that some supporters feel sidelined, with little or no proper communication from the ministers responsible for recruitment.

“Some of us were once like them. Twelve years ago, I was like them, complaining about jobs, so it is the responsibility of those in charge to create opportunities for them. Under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), security recruitment was like cocaine. So if the NDC comes to power and says everyone is disqualified, then who are the people they are recruiting?

“I was with a colleague, and some people told me that one of them was disqualified because he had an issue with his teeth. The boys are tired, and I will tell you the truth,” he said.

Adjei also shared how concerned he is about the number of phone calls he receives daily from party faithful who are desperately searching for jobs.

“If I were to show you the number of phone calls I receive on my phone every single day, you would be amazed. Sometimes, if they send you a message or call you and you are unable to respond, you will see them searching for you on social media. And I think they deserve better.

“So, to the ministries and ministers in charge, because they are also politicians, it would be advisable for them to improve communication so that the people understand the process. Many of them are complaining that their applications are still pending, while others have already received theirs,” he added.
