Mustapha Gbande, Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has warned that the elders’ silence on party issues poses a serious threat to the party’s future.

He holds the view that the party and the government need to return to the elders and bring everyone on board before it is too late for the party.

Mustapha Gbande believes that if this is done, the party and the government will be on a level playing field, helping both succeed.

He spoke to Channel 1 TV in an interview when he expressed this opinion.

“We have elders of the party, and we need to run back to them because they have decided to keep quiet, and that is dangerous for every political party," he stated.

"So we should want to bring everybody back, sit as a party and government, move concurrently and make sure we succeed together,” he added.
