An aspiring General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sylvester Tetteh has stated that the party will become more responsive, inclusive and dynamic under his leadership.

Speaking to party members as part of his engagement tour on June 15, 2026, he said he is committed to building a party that remains connected to its grassroots and gives every member a voice in shaping its future.

According to him, "the strength of the NPP lies in its members, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency and regional officers, youth activists, women organizers, patrons and sympathizers, whose dedication continues to sustain the party."

He emphasised that every member deserves to be heard, respected and actively involved in the growth and direction of the party.

The aspiring General Secretary noted that, under his leadership, "the NPP would embrace a culture of open communication, timely feedback, and proactive engagement."

He explained that stronger channels would be created to enable members to express their concerns, contribute ideas and receive prompt responses from the party leadership.

He added that decisions affecting the party would be communicated clearly, while party structures would be strengthened to ensure an effective flow of information from the national level to the grassroots and vice versa.

According to him, a responsive party is one that listens before it acts, engages before it decides and supports its members at every level.

He stressed the need to create an environment where members feel valued and empowered to contribute to the party’s collective success.

"Fostering greater accountability, transparency, and accessibility within the party’s structures would help deepen trust and strengthen unity among members.

"As the NPP works toward future electoral victories, it must remain focused on the needs, aspirations, and concerns of both its members and the Ghanaian people," he added.
