NPP communicator Kwame Prempeh has stated that criticism suggesting the NPP failed to advance major health infrastructure projects ignores the broader record of hospital developments completed during the party’s tenure.

The NPP National Organiser aspirant pointed to several projects in the Ashanti Region which he said were completed after being inherited from previous governments.

“We have several projects that were inherited and completed. In the Ashanti Region alone, I can mention about six projects that are working today,” he said on TV3’s New Day.

Prempeh stressed that evaluating a government’s performance based on a single unfinished project presents an incomplete picture.

“We are not looking at one hospital project in isolation,” he stated.

According to him, governance is a continuous process in which successive administrations build on projects started by their predecessors.

“Government is a continuum,” he said.

Prempeh argued that while no administration can finish every project within a single term, progress should still be recognised.

“Yes, we did not complete everything. No government is expected to complete everything,” he said.

“But we cannot sit here and act as if the NPP did nothing. That is simply not true.”
