Ellembelle NPP Constituency Chairman predicts victory for Bawumia in 2028
The Ellembelle NPP Constituency Chairman in the Western Region, Sampson Ndoli, has declared that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) back to power in 2028, describing him as “very competent to fix the broken economy in the country.”
Sampson Ndoli, popularly known as “Chairman One Man”, made the statement after being cleared by the vetting committee at Nkroful on Wednesday and picking the number two slot on the ballot for the Constituency Executives Elections on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
The incumbent will be challenged by Jacob Kwofie of Esiama, Iddrisu Ackah of Kangbumli, and Lord Armah of Nzema Aiyinasi.
Launching his campaign over the weekend, Ndoli appealed to delegates to renew his mandate and pledged to reunite the party base by bringing all losing aspirants together to deliver the Ellembelle parliamentary seat to the NPP “for the first time in the history of Ellembelle parliamentary records.”
Linking his bid to the party’s national ambition, he said: "Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is very competent to fix the broken economy in the country. But without unity, it will be impossible for us to recapture political power from the NDC. We must elect hardworking people now."
He therefore called on the rank and file of the party in Ghana to rally behind Dr Bawumia to recapture power from the NDC government in 2028.
He also urged all party members, regardless of status, race, or tribe, to respect Dr Bawumia as the party’s 2028 presidential candidate and to abide by the party’s constitution.
"I'm very optimistic that Dr Bawumia will win power for us in 2028, and I will work harder for Dr Bawumia to come to power. We must all come together to rally behind him. We must stop fighting among ourselves but rather channel our energies towards exposing the weaknesses of the NDC government," he said.
Ndoli is campaigning with a full slate of 10 executives and is asking delegates to vote for the entire team alongside him.
He commended former NPP National Chairman and former Ellembelle MP Freddie Blay, former Constituency Organiser Stephen Donkor, and former Chairman Samuel Akainyah, alias Chairman Atito, for supporting his campaign.
Ndoli first became Ellembelle Chairman in 2018 after defeating Samuel Akainyah, alias Chairman Atito.
In recent weeks, Ndoli has toured the constituency on behalf of Dr Bawumia, donating to the Kangbumli Islamic Community and the Esiama Church of Pentecost, and urging prayers for the former Vice President ahead of 2028.
