Precious Aboagye is a member of the NPP Asante Akyem Constituency
An aspirant for the position of Women's Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem Constituency, Precious Aboagye, has withdrawn from the contest, citing the need to preserve unity within the party.
According to a report by adomonline.com on July 3, 2026, Precious Aboagye said the decision was reached after careful reflection, despite her strong desire to serve the party and champion the interests of women in the constituency.
She explained that recent developments surrounding her candidature had generated allegations and unnecessary controversy, prompting her to step aside.
“Rather than allow these developments to create further division or distract from our collective purpose, I have chosen to step aside in the interest of unity. The success of the NPP and our shared ambition of securing victory in 2028 must always take precedence over individual aspirations,” she indicated.
Precious Aboagye said her withdrawal was motivated by the need to ensure party cohesion and keep the focus on the NPP's broader electoral objectives.

She expressed gratitude to constituency executives, including Dr Edward Asadu, the MAANGA fraternity, her campaign team and supporters for their encouragement, prayers and unwavering support throughout her campaign.
However, she stressed that stepping down from the race did not mean she was abandoning her commitment to the party.
“Although I withdraw from this contest, I do not withdraw from service,” she said.
Aboagye reaffirmed her readiness to continue serving the NPP in any capacity and called on party members to remain united and work together towards securing victory in the 2028 general elections.
