The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given members and aspirants five days to comply with its campaign poster and banner regulations, warning that offenders could face disciplinary action.

The directive requires all campaign posters and banners to measure no more than five feet in width and eight feet in height.

In a press release dated October 9, 2026, the party’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC) also restricted the display of campaign materials to constituency offices, regional offices and designated election grounds.

The committee said the decision followed concerns about the mounting of oversized campaign posters and banners at various locations across the country during the party’s ongoing reorganisation.

According to the FEC, the measures are intended to promote order and discipline while ensuring a level playing field for all aspirants participating in the reorganisation process.

The committee further stressed that the NDC, as the governing party, must lead by example by demonstrating modesty and restraint.

It cautioned against displays of extravagance that could undermine the party’s values and conflict with the expectations of the Ghanaian public.

Members and aspirants whose campaign materials violate the new rules have been directed to make the necessary adjustments within five days, effective October 10, 2026.

The FEC warned that any wilful disregard of the directive would attract appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with the party’s constitution, electoral guidelines and other applicable directives.

The committee, however, expressed confidence that members and aspirants would cooperate fully to ensure compliance with the regulations.
