President John Dramani Mahama has started a two-day working visit to the Ahafo Region as part of his ‘Resetting Ghana’ tour.
The visit will include inspections of ongoing development projects, progress reviews and engagements with residents on government policies and local development needs.
The tour will focus on infrastructure, agriculture and agribusiness, with attention to projects aimed at supporting economic activity, improving transport links and strengthening the region’s productive capacity.
Among the projects on the President’s itinerary is a poultry, meat and feed processing facility in Bechem in the Tano South Municipality.
He is also expected to inspect the Tepa–Goaso road project, which is being executed under the Big Push Programme.
Another key stop is the Ntontroso Bridge, which connects Acherensua, one of the region’s major food-producing areas.
The visit to the bridge will highlight the importance of reliable transport infrastructure to farming communities and local economic activity.
President Mahama will also engage traditional authorities and residents as part of the tour.
The working visit will end on Saturday, October 10, with a town hall meeting at the Victory Centre Assemblies of God Church in Goaso.
The meeting, under the banner #ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with President Mahama, will provide an opportunity for residents to interact with the President.
The ‘Resetting Ghana’ tour forms part of President Mahama’s engagements with communities to assess development interventions and receive feedback on government initiatives.
