Nana Ayisi is Dome-Kwabenya branch chairman of the National Democratic Congress
The Dome-Kwabenya branch chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Ayisi, has expressed concern over growing divisions within the party in the constituency following the October 24 executives’ election.
He has accused the constituency’s Member of Parliament, Elikplim Akurugu, of contributing to the tensions, arguing that party leadership should prioritise unity and reconciliation among members.
Speaking in a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on November 3, 2026, Nana Ayisi said the MP was expected to bring members together rather than deepen existing divisions.
His comments come amid calls by some aggrieved aspirants for the annulment of the October 24 executives’ election over alleged irregularities.
Nana Ayisi also alleged that the MP and her husband had provided uniforms for some individuals whom he claimed were monitoring the activities of members opposed to the election outcome.

He further expressed concerns about the safety of some party members who had spoken publicly about the disputed polls.
The aggrieved aspirants are questioning the credibility of the October 24 election, arguing that alleged irregularities during the voting process have affected its fairness and transparency.
They are calling on the party leadership to investigate their complaints and consider annulling the results if the alleged violations are established.
The dispute has raised concerns about internal cohesion within the Dome-Kwabenya NDC, with aggrieved members urging party leadership to intervene and address their grievances.
