Dome-Kwabenya National Democratic Congress (NDC) organiser aspirant John Lakobo has alleged that the results of the October 24, 2026, constituency executive elections were changed barely 30 minutes after he had been declared the winner.

Lakobo claimed that he initially secured 807 votes, beating one of his opponents, who polled 800 votes, while another candidate obtained 236 votes.

However, he alleged that the results were subsequently altered, denying him the victory he had initially been awarded.

"At the time when I was declared a winner, I scored 807 votes against my opponent. One of my opponents had 800 and the other had 236. But after 30 minutes, they were able to change the results," he alleged.

In a video shared on TikTok and sighted by GhanaWeb on November 4, 2026, Lakobo described the development as an injustice and called on the party's national leadership to investigate the matter.

He insisted that the alleged manipulation could undermine the NDC's chances in the 2028 general elections if the party failed to address internal grievances.

"We are calling on national to come to our aid immediately and investigate and make sure the petition we wrote to them is heard," he said.

Lakobo further demanded the cancellation of the disputed elections and the organisation of fresh polls, arguing that the process was marred by irregularities and undue influence from some party figures.

He also accused the Municipal Chief Executive, the Member of Parliament and the MP's husband of what he described as dictatorial conduct in the constituency.

The allegations come amid growing discontent among some NDC members in Dome-Kwabenya, with aggrieved aspirants demanding the annulment of the October 24 elections and a fresh electoral process.
