Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has stated that he chose to join the ruling NDC after a “certain group” failed to convince him to join them.
Speaking at the campaign launch of the ruling National Democratic Congress in Cape Coast, the controversial actor revealed “I decided to join the NDC after I met a certain group of people whose message didn't convince me".
He added: "Some people are promising hope but President John Dramani Mahama is already doing that, so what else are they going to do? When I decided to join the NDC, my parents were insulted but I didn't mind because i knew it was the best party for me”.
Dumelo also appealed to the youth in the NPP to join the NDC as they canvass for a second term victory for the President since the NDC provides opportunities for the young.
"I will use this platform to urge all the youth in the New Patriotic Party to come join the NDC because the time is now and this is a party that provides opportunities for both the young and old".
