A member of the Communications Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fred Agbenyo, believes the Akufo-Addo-led government has failed in achieving its promises.
“Point to one thing that this NPP government has done since they came to power apart from announcing policies,” he dared on TV3’s New Day on Tuesday.
According to him, many have grown so disappointed in the current government that they would wish the 2020 elections took place “tomorrow”.
“Ghanaians would have wished that tomorrow is 2020.”
And he predicts that the NDC would topple the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government anytime elections are held.
He cited how teacher and nurse trainees have not received their allowances since they were promised by the current government.
According to him, the hardship of these trainees has been worsened since their relatives think they are getting some monies.
“They are [even] paying more than they would have paid if we were in government,” he said.
He continued that costs of spare parts have also skyrocketed since the NPP took office while importers, in general, are going through hardship.
“Today, they get to the ports and they can’t even clear their goods.”
Mr Agbenyo said the NPP has totally failed Ghanaians and the earlier they acted on their promises the better.
