The New Patriotic Party has warned drivers conveying party delegates to Koforidua to be extra careful on the road.
This warning was issued by Acting General Secretary of the NPP John Boadu who appeared on Adom TV’s Badwam exclusively monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
“It is an important point I have to make. The drivers have to be careful. We don’t want to hear any bad news. We wonr encourage night driving. They must be careful and check speeding” He said.
There have been incidents of road accidents across the country recently, and with 6000 delegates attending the NPP’s Koforidua Conference from across the country, it is believed to be well in order that the party is calling for cautious driving.
It will be recalled how Thirty-three delegates of the New Patriotic Party who were being bussed to cast their vote at Chiana-Paga in the Kassena Nankana District of the Upper East Region were been involved in an accident in 2010. There have been other similar occurrences mostly owning to night driving and over speeding.
John Boadu is advising all drivers transporting delegates not to move late at night or speed.
