Flagbearer hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alban Bagbin has expressed satisfaction with his party’s vetting committee, and the general vetting process after meeting the panel on Tuesday in Accra.
The astute politician who is one of seven presidential aspirant for the 2020 General Election said his one hour encounter with the vetting panel was illuminating and encouraging.
Speaking to the media after his vetting, Bagbin said “I am happy with the vetting and you can see that from my face. You can see the ecstasy in me though I spent about an hour in there”.
Mr Bagbin revealed that the committee quizzed him on his capacity to govern the people of Ghana if given the nod to lead the NDC.
The Member of Parliament is said to have demonstrated a great deal of intellect and insight during the vetting, and was given ‘thumbs up’ by the vetting panel.
He also urged the people of the National Democratic Party (NDC) to appreciate him for who he is now before it’s too late.
“The body language, including the nodding of heads, I think that I was given thumbs up. For me, it's just flying. I am highly spirited because I have greatly improved on their understanding of me in the various areas and I think that they better appreciate me now”.
Mr Bagbin indicated that he is optimistic that his vetting and campaign message which is ‘transforming Ghana for the better’ would gain traction in the coming weeks and months.
