Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan has alleged that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is ‘rejoicing’ over the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Ghana.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, he said “what we have heard from them (NDC) is that they prayed for this COVID-19 and they were even happy that the COVID was here”.
According to him utterances from some communication members of the NDC show that “they prayed for COVID-19 cases to occur” in Ghana.
“A deputy Communications Officer said we will see how the voters’ register will be compiled in the wake of the pandemic and he has not been condemned, and you think that if they were not rejoicing behind closed doors, he will come out to speak the way he did? And to top it up, the General Secretary said measures being put together in curbing this pandemic is intended to rig the 2020 election,” he said.
He concluded that it is right to believe and assume that they are happy with what is going on and their utterances.
