The largest opposition NDC has vowed to boycott tomorrow’s scheduled IPAC meeting over the controversial compilation of a new voters register.
The NDC contends that the meeting billed for Wednesday, May, 27,2020 has been improperly and illegitimately called hence their decision to pull out from the meeting.
Speaking on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Peter Boamah Otukonor stressed the NDC cannot be part of the impending meeting if the EC is refusing to put in place the proper mechanisms to hold a legitimate IPAC meeting.
“This cannot be an IPAC meeting. What is happening is engagement with political parties, because the committee is made up of 50 political parties with three representation each. What they are doing is two groups of political parties meeting with rounds of representation each. This cannot constitute IPAC meeting, ” he told Anopa Kasapa Morning Show host, Kwaku Owusu Adjei.
The meeting scheduled to be held at two different times is to provide updates on the anticipated voter registration exercise to the political parties at the IPAC level.
