Ghana coach Bashir Hayford fears excessive criticisms of his team might break his players ahead of their final group game against Cameroon.

The Black Queens have it all to do to remain in the 2018 AWCON tournament following their 2-1 defeat to Mali on Tuesday.

Ghana must now beat tournament favourites Cameroon in order to keep their ambition of hosting and winning the tournament for the very first time alive.

But coach Hayford has asked that criticisms towards his team be moderate ahead of the crunch final group game against Cameroon on Friday.

“I don’t want to make things worse for my team because we have one more match to play,” he said.

“There is a game against Cameroon to be played and these are women and not men.

“We need to be careful with how we deal with them.”
