I. THE COUNCIL OF BETRAYERS
Unknown to most Ghanaians
The sagging sages of the Council of State
Men and women in the sunset of aging
Who are losing their teeth in old age
With only 22 teeth remaining
After poaching from state resources
In the sunrise of holding thievery offices
Also took $50, 000 car loans
While babies who are teething suffer
In our “Fa-Ma-Nyame” crucible of graft
And we agree to “Obiara ba saa ara”
A dogma that kills us slowly like apio
Exploited by NPP/NDC & DDT leaders
Male cowards who brag about fucking the air
And of female enablers with bleached toenails
II. PREAMBLE TO THIEVERY
The members of the Council of State
Took part in Mills’ zesty political booty
But NOT in Konom-tea fiestas
Not in seizing toilets
Not in “adze wo fie oye”
That never was for tea-bedazzled Fantes
But for akpele-happy Ewe-led Mills
Certainly not in calling Ministers “bastards”
Not in Mills’ free for all NDC foot-soldiers
Not in Segbefia-Wilson Car Enterprise in Tema
Not in seeing the Jubilee House as a hen coup
BUT IN GETTING $50,000 CAR LOANS
Freely sanctioned by the Castle of doom
And by our Parliament of gloom
Both institutions of car/tractor thieves
III. THIEVES WITH ONLY 22 TEETH
Our sagging sages of the Council of State
Of honorable old men and women
Plucked from bruising retirements
In their sunsets of horizon aging
With graying dilapidated eyebrows
With only 22 teeth remaining
Are still stealing from the state
Just as much as during their sunrise
Perched atop our mountains of corruption
On our hills of political debauchery
In our turbulent volcanoes of moral decay
In our vortex of cultural bankruptcy
The sagging sages of the Council State
The perpetual honorable thieves
Perpetual rapists of our integrity
Have taken $50,000 Car loans
Old age with toothless dishonesty
Old age that knows not probity
$50,000 car-loans for dead woods
Who would never repay the loans
IV. THE COUNCIL: A MOCK EPIC
$50,000 car-loans for Council members
That meet as erratically as warranted
To talk about old poaching seasons
To plan new thievery years
To think about new career gyrations
Of $50, 000 car-loans
They would never repay
To laugh about their old ways
Of political bankruptcy
For Kofi Awonoor to preach divisiveness
That has killed our youthful aspirations
V. CAR LOANS AMDIST POVERTY
$50,000 car-loans for the Council members
Amidst the plight of poor students
Students without classrooms in Tamale
Hospitals where people go to die
Where expectant mothers die in agony
In a society of perpetual penury
Where police stations lack vehicles
Where Fire Service lacks water hose
Where impoverished youths thrive
Of our forgotten street children
Raped by an army of state mosquitoes
Public alleys that are now public latrines
Power outages powered by Akosombo
Of hopelessness of a decaying Ghana
While 22-teeth toothless sagging sages
Who think about teething in old age
Ride in car-loaned BMW, Lexus
These aging thieves with 22 teeth
Are riding on our Fama-Nyame dogma
Of male cowards who brag about fucking the air
And female enablers with bleached toenails
Eh! $50,000 car-loans of our collective morbidity
