"A Better Ghana" Through Economic Growth

Fri, 19 Feb 2010 Source: Tawiah, Francis

For "A Better Ghana" it is time for the NDC Government to start changing his gears as to increasing the speed to reducing poverty and hardships in the country as stated and promised in the NDC 2008 manifesto.

This can however be ensured through working hard around the clock on the target of economic growth based on the principle of reinforcing good governance, economic freedom and investments in people.

One of the major focuses of the Government must therefore be engaging seriously in the fight against rapacity and corruption in the country, since the efforts of a country to control corruption in its economy and society is the key to reducing poverty and promoting good governance.

For the Ghanaian people to achieve and enjoy "A Better Ghana" the government must be "a self watchdog" on the six dimensional governance, namely, Voice and Accountability, Political Stability and Absence of Violence, Government Effectiveness, Regulatory Quality, Rule of Law and lastly Control of Corruption.
